Gosaikunda Helambu Trek
Gosaikunda Helambu trek lies at a relatively moderate elevation with no hard passes to cross. So that, it is an all seasons trek. Trekkers often combine a journey to Helambu with the langtang valley trekking way of the holy Gosainkunda Lake and the mountain pass Laurebina-La. This is a highly recommended adventurous option that will be an unforgettable experience of himalyas, culture and natural scenery.
Helambu Trekking area is populated chiefly by people who call themselves Sherpa and people of the Tamang ethnicity. The residents in this area have cultural ties Tibet and their customs and traditions adhere to a Buddhist way of life in the beutifull hills. Along the trails are exquisite monasteries, mani prayer stones, and prayer flags and other icons of Buddhist faith.
Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel and welcome dinner in the evening.
Day 02 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley.
Day 03 : Drive to Dhunche (2800m), 8/9 hrs by local bus.
Day 04 : Climb up to Sing Gompa (3669m), 5/6 hrs.
Day 05 : Sing Gompa – Lauribinayak (3901m) – Gosainkunda (4380m), 6/7 hrs.
Day 06 : Exploration around Gosainkunda.
Day 07 : Gosainkund Crossing Lauribina Pass (4600m) then Ghopte – 6/7 hrs.
Day 08 : Ghopte – Tharepati (3610m), 5/6 hrs.
Day 09 : Climbs down to Melamchi Gaun (2500m) – crossing Melamchi River and climb up to Tarkeghyang (2530m).
Day 10 : Tarkeghyang – Sermathang (2550m), 5/6 hrs.
Day 11 : Sermathang – Melamchi Pool Bazar (1830m), 5/6 hrs.
Day 12 : Drive back to Kathmandu through small city of Dhulikhel and Banepa- 5/6 hrs.
Day 13 : Rest day in kathmandu.
Day 14 : Depart to the airport for your international flight.
