Indigenous Peoples Trail Trekking

Indigenous Peoples Trail Trekking

Indigenous Peoples Trail Trekking offers unique, living, exposure to one of the most culturally diverse areas of Nepal. The IP Trail formally starts at the Mude/Dhunge/Chaichhap bazaar of Dolakha district followed by thereafter to Sailung Peak [3200m.], the treks highest point. The Indigenous Peoples Trail offers scenic trekking at relatively low elevations, below 3200M. Bound by Thulo Sailung peak in the North, the golden Sun Koshi flowing along the South and the Tama Koshi in the East, the Indigenous Peoples Trail presents an incomparable and natural blend of cultural, linguistic and ethnic diversity coupled with breathtaking Himalayan panoramas, stretching from Dhauligiri and Annapurna in the West to Numbur chuili and Kanchenjunga in the East.

Indigenous Peoples Trail Trekking meanders through ethnic community settlements at Rajveer, Surkey, Doramba, Khandadevi and Dongme, and ends at Namobuddha. A separate time Majhi fishing experience can also be experienced either as a part of IP Trail package or as a standalone product to Lubughat and Seleghat. The elevation ranges from 488m at the Sun Kosi River to Numburchuili peak along Everest Himal range at 6959m. Vistas of the rolling foothills dotted with isolated farming communities, rhododendron forests and bamboo groves, all crowned by an array of snow peaks are bound to leave you breathless. The cultural rituals surrounding Buddhism and Hinduism are another major attraction. But the foremost prize of the whole experience is the chance to meet people from 21 different Indigenous communities, learn about them and their culture- yes, all of the above in one trek. You will feel good knowing that your visit is genuinely helping your hosts. And what’s more, you can relax on one of the best beaches in Nepal!!
