Dhampus Peak climbing (6012m)
Asian Mountain Adventure offers a climb of Dhawalagiri region, Dhampus peak is an interesting peak for climbers situated in the north east of the giant Dhaulagiri massive, Dhampus Peak, nontechnical peak, the only location from where the observer can get a clear view of the massive altitude differences between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The normal route to the peak summit follows the west ridge. Hough the mountain exceeds the (6,000m) frontier, no technical climbing is involved to reach the summit. Nevertheless, impressive surroundings of seven and eight thousands make this undertaking a real Himalayan adventure.
Dhampus Peak climbing provides you more than thirty mountain views and as well as Dhaulagiri glacier and deepest Kaligandaki gorge of the world.
Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 02: Rest day in Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist Bus (850m), 7/8 hrs. Overnight in hotel.
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul (1,070m), 1/2 hrs and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,480m), 2/3 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 05: Tikhedhunga Trek to Ghorepani (2,800m), 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 06: Ghorepani Trek to Tatopani (1190m), After excursion of Poonhill (3,210m), 7/8 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 07: Tatopani Trek to Ghasa (2,010m), 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 08: Ghasa Trek to Marpha (2,670m), 7/8 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 09: Marpha Trek to Yak Kharka (3,680m), at tented camp, 6/7 hrs.
Day 10: Yak Kharka Trek to Dhampus Base Camp (5,100m) at tented camp.6/7 hrs.
Day 11: Trek to High Camp (5,600m), at tented camp 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 12: Summit to Dhampus Peak (6,012m) and back to Base Camp at tented camp 6/7 hrs.
Day 13: Dhampus Basecamp Trek to Marpha (2,670m), 7/8 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 14: Marpha Trek to Jomsom (2,710m), 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 15: Jomsom fly to Pokhara 6/7 hrs. Overnight in hotel.
Day 16: Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus 6/7 hrs. Overnight in hotel.
Day 17: Rest Day in Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel.
Day 18: Transfer to Airport for final Departure.
