Yala Peak Climbing 5732m.
Yala Peak Climbing (5732m) a fantastic two weeks peak climb and trek in the high Himalaya of Nepal climbing in an ascent of the spectacular but non-technical Yala Peak. Yala peak is a part of Langtang region located at the central part of Nepal particularly at northern part of Kathmandu, requiring a drive to get there, and the valley is famous for its flora, as well as beautiful Himalayan peaks. There is the presence of rarest flora.
Usually climbed Total in 2 days from Kyanjin Gompa (3900m), camping at Yala Kharka (4600m). You can see amazing view of Shishapangma (8,046m) and Gangchempo (6,388m) from the summit of Yela. It’s also possible to do it in one day, without camping, but it’s a long day with a pre-dawn start.
Climb is relatively easy and non-technical, but at some places you have to use your hands and ice axes are useful but not essential. The last 15 meters to the top is a steep rock pyramid, hands definitely required. Yala Peak is very close to Tibetan border.
Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 02: Rest day in Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel.
Day 03 : Drive to Syabru Besi (1460m) via Dhunche (2030m), 7/8 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 04 : Syabru Besi trek to Lama Hotel (2380m). Overnight in lodge.
Day 05 : Lama Hotel trek to Langtang Village (3500m). Overnight in lodge.
Day 06 : Langtang Village trek to Kyangjing Gomba (3800m). Overnight in lodge.
Day 07 : Rest day in Kyangjing Gomba for Acclimatization. Overnight in lodge.
Day 08 : Kyamjing trek to Yala Base Camp (4500m), (5/6 hrs). At tented Camp
Day 09 : Summit Yala Peak (5732m),and down to Base Camp (8/9 hrs). At tented camp.
Day 10 : Base camp trek to Kangjing Gompa (3800m), 5/6 hrs. Overnight in lodge
Day 11 : Kyanjing Gompa trek to lama Hotel (2380m), 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodge
Day 12 : lama Hotel trek to Sayabru Besi (1420m), 5/6 hrs. Overnight in lodge
Day 13 : Sayabru Besi to Kathmandu by Jeep/bus (7/8 hrs). Overnight in hotel.
Day 14 : Rest Day in Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel.
Day 15 : Transfer to Airport for final Departure.
