Lhasa Kailash Guge Kingdom Tour in tibet Kingdom of Guge, founded in 868m and became a local point for the preservation of Buddhism in Tibet until the 17th century. After the assassination of King Lang Darma in 842 by his own brother, the Buddhism in Tibet was completely snuffed out for nearly 100 years. In 1040, a renowned Indian Master named Atisha arrived in Guge Kingdom and spent some times at Toling Monastery where he created a resurgence of interest in Buddhism which eventually spread all over Tibet. Tsaparang and Toling retained their importance within Western Tibet as political and religious center until the 17th Century. Today, more than 300 years later, all the remains is a huge complex of caves, living quarters and temples, some of it in an excellent state of preservation, the rest in ruins. This place can be visited combining with Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarovar via either northern route (Shiquanhe) or from southern route via Saga – Paryang and Manasarovar.

The tour itinerary can be varied according to the time frame and places you would like to cover within the itinerary. Below, we have designed an itinerary that commences from Lhasa. In Lhasa, we spend a couple of days for sightseeing propose after that we continue our journey to Western Tibet via major highlighted places of central Tibet (Gyantse, Shigatse Sakya etc.). The tour eventually takes us to the Guge Kingdom and toward to Nepla via Zhang-Mu (the Tibetan border town).

Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1350m.) and Transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu .
Day 03 :Drive Kathmandu to Nyalam (3750m), (150 km, 6/7 Hrs),at Guest House.
Day 04: Acclimatization and free day in Nyalam at Guest House.
Day 05: Nyalam to Dongba 4600 m. (390km), 5/6 Hrs) at Guest House.
Day 06: Dongba to Manasarovar (4558m) (277 km, 4/5 Hrs) at Guest House.
Day 07: Sightseeing in Mansarovar and drive to Tarchen (4575m) (40km ,1/2 Hrs) at Guest House.
Day 08: Tarchen drive to  Tarboche (13km) and trek to Dirapuk 4909m (7 km 5/6 hrs) at Guest House.
Day 09: Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk (4760m) via Dolmala Pass (5613m), 18 km  9/10 hrs. at Guest House.
Day 10: Zuthulpuk to Manasarovar via Darchen (10km 4-5 hrs) at guest house.
Day 11: Manasarovar to Zanda (3650m). Visit Tirthapuri. (340km / 5-6 Hrs) at Guest house.
Day12: Visit Guge Kingdom and Tholing in Zhanda. at Guest House.
Day 13: Drive back to Manasarovar, Horchu. at Guest House.
Day 14: Manasarovar to Saga at Guest House.
Day 15: Saga – Shigatse (3900m) (447km – 6/7 Hrs) at Hotel.
Day 16: Shigatse to Gyantse (4025m) (94 Km – 4/5 Hrs) at Hotel.
Day 17: Gyantse to Lhasa (3650m) (264Km – 6/7 Hrs) at Hotel.
Day 18: Sightseeing in lhasa at Hotel.
Day 19: Sightseeing in lhasa at Hotel.
Day 20: Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 21: Rest day in Kathmandu.
Day 22: Airport Transfer for your Departure.
