Tamang Heritage Langtang Trail Trekking
Tamang Heritage Langtang Trail Trekking popular and recently opened trekking route in Langtang region. The Langtang valley called “the valley of glaciers”. This trail was developed by the Tourism for Rural Poverty Alleviation Program under United Nations Development Project (UNDP). The Langtang Valley was designated the first national park of Nepal in 1971. This is a great introduction to trekking in Nepal among some of the most beautiful scenery in the whole country-with rich old/heritage Tamang culture. Many years ago Nepal-fought with Tibet for salt and some of the biggest areas where this war took place is in the Langtang Region of Nepal. This area is connected to Tibet and the trails in this region were used by traders from Tibet bartering in Salt and mountain goats for meat (changra) with foodstuffs from the south.
Langtang valley populated by Sherpa and Tamang families are very rich culture and religion. This trek presents the panoramic views of Langtang II (6556m), Langtang Lirung (7245m), Langtang Kerung, Chumse Danda ridge (5122m), Ganesh Himal (7210m), Gangajamuna, Paldor peak, Shringi Himal, Rhododendron Forest, Alpine landscape , Glaciers and high altitude lakes, Sanjen Himal ranges and Tibetan mountains ranges. Glaciers of varying sizes and high altitude lakes namely Pravati kuda.
Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 01. Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 02. Rest day in kathmandu. Overnight in hotel.
Day 03. Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,460m), 6/7 hrs by bus/private transportation. Overnight in lodge.
Day 04. Syabru besi trek to Gatlang (2240m), 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 05. Gatlang trek to Tatopani (2640m), 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 06. Tatopani trek to Thuman (2300m), 6/7 hrs and via Naghthali (3123m) the best view point. Overnight in lodge.
Day 07. Thuman trek to Timbure Visit Rasuwagadi (1770m), 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 08. Timbure trek to Bridim (2290m), 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 09. Bridim trek to Syabrubesi (1460m), 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodge.
Day 10. Syabrubesi to Kathmandu by bus/private transportation (6/7 hrs). Overnight in hotel.
Day 11. Rest Day in Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel.
Day 12. Final Departure to Airport.
