Guide required to trek in Nepal
Guides are the one who leads in right way with full security for all trekkers. A guide can help you avoid potential dangers and can provide you first aid in case of an emergencies.
Nepal banned solo and independent trekkers from April 1, 2023.
According to Nepal Tourism Board(NTB),all the trekkers visiting Nepal after March 31,2023,must hire a licensed holder trekking guide and they must obtain a Trekking Information Management System(TIMS).
The price obtaining a TIMS card is also doubled to 2,000 Nepalese rupees (USD 15/16) for most international visitors.According to NTB,the Decision was made to create employment opportunity in tourism sector and to provide security for trekkers.
