After a 35 minute flight from Kathmandu landing to at Luk – la tiny airstrip, the adventure really begins. We spend the next few days trekking and interacting amongst the mountain people also known as Sherpa’s we stay at local lodges and trek into the heartland of their villages. Along the trek we will pass Buddhist monasteries with the views of Everest and other snow towering mountains getting closer by the day. We will have rest days in the villages of Namche bazaar that will allow us to explore the region and to acclimatize, which is very important. After trekking to Gokyo Ri (5350m), we return at a leisurely pace back to Namche and Lukla via Cho la Pass (5350m) and EBC with Kalapathar for our flight back to Kathmandu. Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu –Drive to at Hotel overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Rest day in Kathmandu, Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Flight to Lukla from Kathmandu / manthali 35 minute flight. Trek to Phadking (2650m), 2/3 hrs. Overnight in lodges
Day 04: Phadking Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m), 6/7 hrs. Overnight in lodges.
Day 05: Acclimatization in Namche B azar (3440m). Overnight in lodges.
Day 06: Namche trek to Dole (4000m), 5/6hrs. Overnight in lodges.
Day 07: Dole trek to Machhermo (4410m), 4/5 hrs. Overnight in lodges.
Day 08: Machhermo trek to Gokyo (4750m), 3/4 hrs. Overnight in lodges.
